Trump stated on Friday that he "absolutely" would impose tariffs on the EU. The EU Commission and its member states will discuss this possibility at the trade ministerial meeting in Warsaw on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the EU Commission stated that, at this stage, there is no information on the USA imposing any additional tariffs on EU products, emphasizing that the trade and investment relationship between the EU and the USA is the largest in the world. This spokesperson said that the use of tariffs is harmful to all parties.
