The Guosheng Computer Team stated that DeepSeek distilled six small models through the output of DeepSeek-R1 and open-sourced them to the Community, among which the 32B and 70B models achieved results comparable to OpenAI's o1-mini in multiple capabilities. The pricing of DeepSeek-R1 API service is much lower than that of OpenAI o1. Lower costs allow enterprises to develop AI applications with higher efficiency, expected to accelerate domestic AI applications from Concept to practical implementation. The distilled small models open-sourced by DeepSeek surpassing OpenAI o1-mini are also expected to facilitate the rapid deployment of models on the edge.
