Ken Herbert from Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets stated in a research report that Airbus's year-end performance is favorable for its 2025 outlook, but engine deliveries are the key factors for the company's prospects this year. This European aircraft manufacturer delivered 123 aircraft in December last year, with a total delivery of 766 aircraft for the year, slightly below the company's target of 770 aircraft, but above the market average expectation of 755 aircraft. "We believe that the main bottleneck for A320 narrowbody aircraft delivery growth in 2024 is the engine supply chain, especially the Leap engines," the Analyst said, referring to the engines manufactured by CFM International, a joint venture of Safran and GE Aviation. The Analyst stated that Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets expects Airbus's guidance for 2025 delivery volume to be around 825 aircraft, which will be bullish for investor sentiment.
