According to industry sources, the reporting of the Star Composite Index related ETFs is imminent. Currently, more than ten Fund companies are actively preparing product submissions, including several leading large-scale Fund companies, major ETF manufacturers, and some small to medium-sized Fund companies. With only 2 days until the Shanghai Stock Exchange releases the issuance arrangements for the Star Composite Index, Fund companies have already locked in the securities clearing and custody institutions for the ETF issuance. The industry notes that the Star Composite Index differs from the existing broad-based Star Index in terms of index positioning, investment attributes, and index returns, further supplementing the types of broad-based indices, providing wider coverage and better representativeness, and offering a tool for a more comprehensive observation of the Star market development.
