Bill Ford, the Chairman of Ford Motor, stated that the relationship between Elon Musk and President-elect Donald Trump will not harm traditional Auto Manufacturers, and that Trump has a better grasp of the Industry than he did during his first term. Ford said in an interview in Detroit on Thursday, "This time, he understands the importance of our Industry." He mentioned that Trump called him last week to discuss the automotive Industry, tariffs, and the importance of establishing a healthy manufacturing base in the USA. Ford said that during Trump's first four years in office, he received some "Education" to keep up with the pace of the automotive Industry. Ford expressed that he is not worried about the alliance between Trump and Tesla's CEO Musk harming Ford or other traditional Auto Manufacturers. "We are aligned on many issues," Ford remarked regarding Musk.
