According to Reuters, US Commerce Secretary Raimondo stated that the outgoing administration of President Biden plans to finalize rules next week to crack down on Chinese Autos Software and Hardware. In September 2024, the US Department of Commerce proposed to ban the use of Chinese critical connected vehicle Software and Hardware on US roads for National Security reasons. This move will effectively ban Chinese cars and trucks from entering the US market. In the coming years, Global major Auto Manufacturers will have to remove Chinese critical Software and Hardware from the cars sold in the USA.
