The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Silicon Branch released data indicating that this week, the price of silicon wafers has significantly increased. The average transaction price of N-type G10L Monocrystalline Silicon (182*183.75mm/130μm/256mm) rose to 1.18 yuan/piece, an increase of 7.27%; the average transaction price of N-type G12R Monocrystalline Silicon (182*210mm/130μm) rose to 1.3 yuan/piece, an increase of 7.69%; the average transaction price of N-type G12 Monocrystalline Silicon (210*210 mm/150μm) rose to 1.55 yuan/piece, an increase of 9.15%. Except for the high price of G12R which has not yet been fully accepted by downstream, all other sizes have already had substantial transactions in this round of price increase. The main reason for the significant increase in silicon wafer prices this week is supply not meeting demand. As of this week, due to the strong enthusiasm for procurement in the downstream sector, the pace of supply from enterprises has clearly accelerated, and the consumption speed of silicon wafer inventory has correspondingly accelerated.
