Choi Tae-won also mentioned his meeting with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang during the exhibition, stating that both sides exchanged views on high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and "physical AI" among other topics. SK Hynix is the exclusive supplier of HBM to NVIDIA, having first supplied the fifth generation of 8-layer HBM3E products in March of last year, and in October of the same year, it was the world's first to mass-produce 12-layer stacked HBM3E memory. Choi Tae-won said that during this time, the development speed of SK Hynix’s HBM was slightly slower than that of NVIDIA, with NVIDIA requesting SK Hynix to speed up, but recently, the development speed of SK Hynix has begun to catch up, and both companies are accelerating the development of HBM. Both sides have finalized this year's supply volume through working-level meetings.
