On January 9, Meng Yang, Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, met with Chan Ka-yan and his delegation from the Competition Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as antitrust enforcement, fair competition reviews, and competition advocacy. Meng Yang stated that the Administration for Market Regulation is willing to further strengthen practical exchanges and cooperation with the Hong Kong Competition Commission in the fields of antitrust and unfair competition, jointly maintaining a fair competitive market order and contributing to the construction of the South China Greater Bay Area Concept. Chan Ka-yan expressed the hope of deepening cooperation in antitrust and fair competition governance with the Administration for Market Regulation and playing a more active role in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, promoting Hong Kong to better and faster integrate into the national development framework.
