The Ministry of Commerce announced that in response to the application of the China Chamber of Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, and based on the relevant provisions of the "People's Republic of China Foreign Trade Law" and the "Rules for Investigating Trade Barriers", the Ministry of Commerce will publish Notice No. 28 of 2024 on July 10, 2024. This notice decides to conduct a trade and investment barrier investigation into the relevant practices taken by the European Union in its investigation of Chinese enterprises under the "Foreign Subsidies Regulation" and its implementation rules. Now that this investigation has concluded, based on the investigation results and Article 31 of the "Rules for Investigating Trade Barriers", the Ministry of Commerce has determined that the relevant practices taken by the European Union in its investigation of Chinese enterprises under the "Foreign Subsidies Regulation" and its implementation rules fall under the circumstances prescribed in Article 3 of the "Rules for Investigating Trade Barriers", constituting trade and investment barriers.
