Donald Trump's request to suspend the ruling on the hush money criminal case on January 10 was rejected; however, as he prepares to be sworn in as the 47th president of the USA later this month, he has more means to seek to stop the legal proceedings. Trump sought to suspend the ruling on January 10 in the hush money case, but a judge from the New York appellate court on Tuesday denied Trump's last-minute request to postpone the ruling while trying to overturn the guilty verdict. This decision was released after the hearing, where Chief Justice Ellen Gesmer expressed deep skepticism regarding Trump's claims. Trump can still appeal to the New York State Supreme Court or even the federal appellate court, which may bring the matter to the Supreme Court of the USA.
