The notice states that a "Ten Gigabit Community" trial will be conducted. The 50G-PON access ports with multi-mode coexistence capabilities for three generations (GPON/XG(S)-PON/50G-PON or EPON/10G-EPON/50G-PON) will cover residential communities, compatible with various access technologies and enabling smooth upgrades. The optical distribution network facilities in the community will support the capability to achieve home access at ten gigabits. In the home network environment, collaboratively deploying FTTH/FTTR and the 7th generation wireless local area network will achieve true user terminal access at over one gigabit, ensuring a broadband user experience directed toward ten gigabit optical networks. A trial for some users in the community will offer home broadband packages of 5000Mbps and above, with measured broadband downlink access rates meeting standards and uplink access rates no less than 1000Mbps. The trial will also develop cloud storage, cloud computing, cloud gaming, Ultra HD video, naked-eye 3D, light-sensing home monitoring, health and wellness, and other ten gigabit optical network services.
