WeChat officially released a notice regarding the disposal of non-compliant micro-drama mini-programs (January 2025). Recently, the platform discovered through inspection and review that some micro-drama mini-programs had not conducted compliance filing for the episodes, contained content with undesirable guiding values, or engaged in infringement. In accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, the platform removed some non-compliant micro-drama episodes and dealt with related non-compliant mini-programs.
