On January 7, local time, the Japan-based space infrastructure company Interstellar Technologies announced that it has reached a strategic capital and business cooperation agreement with Toyota Motor's mobility technology subsidiary, Woven by Toyota, which will receive an investment of 7 billion yen (about $44 million) from the latter. As part of the collaboration, Woven by Toyota will gain a seat on the Board of Directors of Interstellar. Interstellar stated that the company plans to leverage expertise from the automotive industry, including Toyota's production methods, to "transform rocket manufacturing into a high-quality, cost-effective, and scalable process."
