Boeing has obtained a contract worth $0.616 billion from the USA Department of Defense for the Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS). This electronic warfare system will enable the decades-old USAF F-15 fighter jets to maintain their survivability against complex threats. The USA Department of Defense stated on Monday that it awarded Boeing a fixed-price incentive contract, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and reimbursable cost contract to support the procurement of Group A and Group B kits, system engineering project management, and temporary contractor support materials. The work on this contract will take place in Nashua, New Hampshire, and St. Louis, and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2030.
