The State Council's executive meeting held on January 3 pointed out that urban renewal relates to the improvement of urban appearance and living quality, and is an important tool for expanding internal demand. 'This will effectively promote the acceleration of urban renewal actions across various regions,' said Wu Jianqin, research director of the China Index Academy, indicating that in terms of the supporting measures for urban renewal, it is expected that more supportive policies will be introduced from various departments and localities in the next phase, pushing urban renewal into a 'golden development period' characterized by multi-mode innovation, multi-mechanism support, multi-element guarantees, and multi-agent participation.
