On January 6 local time, the United Nations World Food Programme stated in a declaration that the Israeli military fired on the agency's humanitarian convoy in the Gaza Strip on January 5. The convoy consisted of three vehicles carrying eight staff members, and at least 16 bullets hit the vehicles at the time of the incident, with no staff injured. The World Food Programme strongly condemned this event in the statement, calling on all parties to respect international humanitarian law, protect civilian lives, and allow safe passage for humanitarian aid. As of now, the Israeli military has not responded to this.
