The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Transport Department announced today (January 6) that 1,000 regular quotas for private non-commercial vehicles crossing between Hong Kong and Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (Hong Kong quota) will be open for application starting January 13. Private vehicles holding a valid Hong Kong quota can cross the bridge to and from Macau an unlimited number of times. The Transport Department will issue an additional 1,000 Hong Kong quotas in accordance with the arrangement agreed upon by the governments of Hong Kong and Macau, comprising 500 for companies and 500 for individuals, with a validity period not exceeding three years, expiring on March 30, 2028.
