On January 6, Douyin e-commerce launched the most powerful merchant support plan in history, which includes nine measures such as commission exemption, promotion fee refunds, and establishing a support fund. By 2025, in addition to continuing to implement the commission exemption for shelf goods, it will also exempt commissions in live broadcast and Short Video scenarios, covering nearly a hundred categories; there will be a policy for automatic refunds of promotion fees, reducing business losses incurred by merchants due to returns and refunds; and hundreds of millions will be invested throughout the year to establish the "Small Business Support Fund" to support various scenarios such as product releases, first order incentives, and long-term operations. Douyin e-commerce stated that it will continue to help merchants reduce costs and increase revenues in the future.
