According to the "2023-2024 National Carbon Emission Trading Power Generation Industry Quota Total and Allocation Plan," there are a total of 2,096 key emission units from the power generation industry included in the national carbon emission trading market for the management of 2023 quotas, covering an annual carbon dioxide emission volume of about 5.2 billion tons, with the market running for a total of 242 trading days. By the end of 2024, the cumulative trading volume of the national carbon emission trading market's quotas amounts to 0.63 billion tons, with a total trading value of 43.033 billion yuan. Among these, the trading volume for 2024 is 0.189 billion tons, with a trading value of 18.114 billion yuan, indicating a continuing expansion of the trading scale. Trading prices have been stable with a slight increase, closing at 97.49 yuan per ton at the end of the year, up 22.75% compared to the end of 2023. The completion rate for quota settlement has improved, with a total quota to be settled for the year 2023 of 5.244 billion tons and a completion rate of about 99.98%.
