The letter mentions that following the recent flash-crash incident of extreme vehicles, although Geely and Baidu promised to cover the losses, starting from December 12, 2024, extreme car owners across the country face serious challenges in vehicle maintenance, spare parts supply, and vehicle system stability, which has caused substantial harm to driving safety and owners' rights. The National Extreme Car Friends Association Alliance has made several demands to the three parties in the open letter, including the immediate restoration of the extreme after-sales system, fully addressing software bugs, establishing a long-term communication mechanism, and clarifying restoration timelines and responsibilities.
