The General Office of the State Council recently issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Drug and Medical Instrument Regulation and Promoting High-Quality Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry." It advances the approval authorization for Biological Products (vaccines). Based on a thorough risk assessment, the authorization for provincial drug regulatory departments' inspection and testing institutions and the scope of products for the approval of Biological Products (vaccines) will be gradually expanded. The approval timeframe for seasonal influenza vaccines and other products has been shortened to within 45 working days.
