The dollar is showing its best weekly performance in over a month, aided by market expectations that the Federal Reserve will reduce the rate of interest rate cuts this year, and that the USA economy will continue to outperform Other economies globally. Chief Investment Strategist at Saxo Bank, Charu Chanana, stated, "Given that the narrative of American exceptionalism will persist, the strength of the dollar seems likely to temporarily hold until early 2025, along with high US Treasury yields. Moreover, given the uncertainty surrounding the incoming Trump administration’s policies, the dollar also appears very attractive in terms of safe-haven assets."
