The early gains in USA Treasury bonds faded due to the weakening support from fund flows at the end of December, leading investors to focus on the CSI Enterprise bond Index issuance plans. Oil prices remained strong during USA trading hours, intensifying the upward pressure on USA Treasury yields. As USA stocks retraced gains around the release of the Atlanta Fed's GDPNow forecast data, USA Treasury bonds moved away from intra-day lows. Shortly after 3 PM New York time, the short-term and long-term USA Treasury bond yields slightly increased, while mid-term bonds slightly outperformed; however, the day's yield difference compared to the closing level on December 31 was less than 1 basis point; the 2s5s10s curve declined by about 1.5 basis points during the day. At the close, the 2-year Treasury yield was reported at 4.2457%, and the 10-year Treasury yield was reported at 4.567%.
