On the evening of January 2, the Postbank announced that the Bank's board of directors will hold a live meeting in Beijing on January 2, 2025. The meeting voted to pass a bill to elect Zheng Guoyu as the chairman of the Postal Savings Bank of China. Mr. Zheng Guoyu's qualifications to serve as Chairman of the Bank are still required to take effect after the shareholders' meeting elects him as a non-executive director of the Bank and is reported to the China Financial Supervisory Administration for approval of his qualifications as director and chairman. The term of office is 3 years, calculated from the date of approval by the China Financial Supervisory Administration. According to the “Articles of Association”, after becoming the Bank's chairman, Zheng Guoyu will also serve as a member, chairman, and legal representative of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Bank's board of directors.
