On December 31, 2024, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the morning, the Russian military used precision weapons and attack Drones to carry out a coordinated strike on the infrastructure of a military airfield in Ukraine and a Military Industry enterprise that produces gunpowder for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with all designated targets destroyed. On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the Ukrainian military attacked an oil depot in the Smolensk region of Russia, where a strong explosion occurred and a fire broke out. The Ukrainian side claimed that this oil depot was mainly used to support Russian military supplies. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that in 2024, the Ukrainian military shot down more than 1,300 various types of Russian Missiles, 11,200 attack Drones, and 40 Russian fighter jets.
