Today (December 27), the Constitutional Court of South Korea will officially hear the impeachment case against President Yoon Suk-yeol. The first stage will be the "preparation court" phase (also known as the "pretrial meeting"). During this period, the Constitutional Court will hold one or several sessions where both parties, namely the National Assembly of South Korea and the Yoon Suk-yeol side, will focus on clarifying their respective positions, claims, evidence, and key points of contention. Afterwards, the Constitutional Court will strategically conduct court debates until the final ruling is announced.
