Recently, the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau received relevant information indicating that the "China Traditional Culture Development Committee" has been conducting evaluations such as "Contemporary Powerful Artists of China" and "People's Artists" under the name of a social organization. The bureau has initiated a legal investigation. It was found that the "China Traditional Culture Development Committee" had not registered and claimed to be a national, professional, and non-profit social organization. It hosted or co-hosted art exhibitions, promoted traditional calligraphy and painting arts, organized theoretical research and academic exchanges in calligraphy and painting arts, and organized cultural achievements exhibitions, among other activities. It had an honorary chairman, vice-chairman, executive directors, and other organizational structures, and had developed membership. This illegal social organization operated a website for promotional purposes, publishing several articles on art exchange and appreciation activities, and the website disclosed the office address of this illegal social organization. However, upon on-site verification by law enforcement officers, it was found that the website had no registered unit, and the address was a false office address. On December 13, 2024, the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau banned the "China Traditional Culture Development Committee" and announced it.
