Kang Yi, Deputy Leader of the Fifth National Economic Census Leading Group of the State Council and Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, introduced that from the results of the census, over the past five years, China's economy has withstood multiple internal and external risk tests, maintaining a steady and progressive development trend overall. Compared to the results of the fourth national economic census, China's economic development has shown many positive changes in terms of total scale, structural optimization, innovation-driven efforts, security guarantees, and green transformation, demonstrating a solid foundation, strong resilience, and enormous potential. It presents five major characteristics: a firmer development foundation, a better development structure, stronger development momentum, stronger security guarantees for development, and better sustainability of development.
