According to data released by the South Korean Statistics Office on the 26th in the "October Population Trends", the number of births in South Korea in October this year was 0.021398 million, an increase of 13.4% year-on-year, marking the largest growth in nearly 12 years. The birth rate has increased for four consecutive months since July, and the rate of growth continues to expand. Notably, all 17 cities and provinces across the country have seen a year-on-year increase in the number of births, the first time this has occurred since March 2015. The number of births in the first ten months of this year was 0.199999 million, slightly higher than the same period last year (0.196193 million). If the trend of increasing births continues, the total number of births for the year is expected to achieve positive growth for the first time in nine years.
