On December 26, GAC Group unveiled a new third-generation intelligent humanoid robot product, GoMate, at the 2024 China Robotics Network Annual Meeting. According to reports, GAC's third-generation intelligent humanoid robot uses the industry's first variable wheel foot movement structure, which combines two modes of four-wheel foot and two-wheel foot, which can be freely switched according to actual applications, so that the robot has strong environmental adaptability and terrain crossing skills. According to Zhang Aimin, head of GAC Group's robot research and development team, the core components of GAC's third-generation intelligent humanoid robot have achieved all self-research, and the key performance indicators have reached or are leading the industry's advanced level. After a period of training, GoMate will prioritize entry into GAC's own automobile production line to carry out inspection and sorting tasks. The GAC Group plans to achieve mass global sales of self-developed parts by 2025, while GoMate will achieve demonstration applications in different industries; in 2026, GoMate will complete small-batch production and gradually expand to large-scale mass production.
