Data released by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association shows that due to the end of support for Microsoft Windows 10 in October 2025, the demand for machine upgrades has led to a year-on-year surge of 47.5% in Japan's PC shipments (desktop and laptop computers) in November 2024, reaching 0.707 million units, marking the fifth consecutive month of growth. Among these, laptop shipments accounted for about 90% of the total, increasing 47.0% year-on-year to 0.594 million units, showing growth for the fifth consecutive month; desktop shipments surged 50.1% to 0.113 million units, experiencing growth for the second consecutive month.
