Due to concerns about the economic outlook, the Consumer Confidence Index in the USA unexpectedly declined for the first time in three months. Data released by the Conference Board on Monday showed that the Consumer Confidence Index in December fell to 104.7, influenced by people aged 35 and over. The rebound in the Consumer Confidence Index did not hold in December, and the Index fell back to the median level of the running Range observed in the past two years. However, the percentage of respondents who believed job opportunities were abundant increased to 37% from the previous month, while those who found it difficult to find work decreased to 14.8%.
