According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, as of now, 2,869 national standards have been newly approved and released by the National Standardization Administration in 2024, representing a 35% year-on-year increase. The consistency of major consumer products with international standards reaches 97%. This includes guidelines for the construction of standard systems in key areas such as AI, Big Data, and the Internet of Things. A total of 161 mandatory national safety standards, including those for gas safety and lithium batteries for electric bicycles, have been released, which has doubled compared to last year. Additionally, over 5,500 local standards have been organized for abolition and revision. The National Standardization Administration will lead the development and release of 172 international standards in 2024, propose 286 international standard proposals, and publish 496 foreign language versions of national standards. A total of 819 advanced applicable international standards have been transformed, with an overall transformation rate of over 83%.
