On December 23, a ceramic electric melting furnace high-level radioactive liquid Glass solidification formula jointly developed by China National Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Wuhan University of Technology successfully completed experimental verification on the first domestically produced high-level radioactive liquid Glass solidification cold test platform located in Taizhou, Jiangsu and passed acceptance. This marks China's successful breakthrough in the global challenge of deriving the Glass solidification formula for high-level liquid waste from nuclear reactors, filling a domestic gap, and achieving the first breakthrough in key core technologies for the domestic research of Glass solidification technology using ceramic electric melting furnaces.
