The report states that the 92 surveyed Chinese enterprises have all achieved year-on-year growth in income tax for the year 2023. The Secretary General of the Lombardy Regional Government stated that Chinese enterprises have made remarkable contributions to driving the Italian economy, employment, and taxation. The report points out that over 70% of the surveyed Chinese enterprises consider Italy an important market, but the EU's protectionist measures, such as imposing tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, have made the surveyed Chinese enterprises cautious about future investments.
