Nuclear Power stock Oklo surged over 14%, and has accumulated over 94% growth since the beginning of this year. The company previously announced a landmark Global Strategy partnership with the USA Datacenter Operation operator Switch.
The press release stated that Oklo and Switch signed a non-binding 'framework power purchase agreement', which will allow for the deployment of 12 gigawatts of electrical utilities for the latter within the next twenty years (by 2044). Oklo claims this is one of the largest corporate clean energy agreements ever signed.
Analysis indicates that the 12 gigawatts of power generation is equivalent to the electricity consumption of over 9 million households in the USA. Oklo stated that the company will develop, build, and operate its small power plants through a series of power purchase agreements to supply power to Switch's datacenters across the USA.
The statement indicated that this decades-long partnership will help accelerate the deployment of Oklo's early power plants while also allowing the company to scale up to meet growing demand.
