The Central Rural Work Conference was held in Peking from the 17th to the 18th, where it was specified to "orderly promote the pilot extension of the second round of land contracts for another thirty years after they expire." Currently, Anhui, Hunan, and Guangxi have already initiated provincial pilots to extend the second round of land contracts for another thirty years after they expire. Maintaining the stability and long-term invariance of existing rural land contracting relationships will stimulate farmers' enthusiasm for long-term protection and investment in land. Additionally, the conference proposed to start implementing interprovincial horizontal benefit compensation under central coordination in grain production and sales areas. Horizontal refers to the compensation mechanisms between grain production and sales areas, where this year has clearly accelerated the exploration of interprovincial compensation mechanisms.
