According to China Trade Relief Information Network, on December 18, USA's Corning Incorporated filed an application with the U.S. International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, claiming that the export to the USA, import into the USA and sale of specific glass substrates for liquid crystal displays and their downstream products, as well as methods for manufacturing such substrates (Certain Glass Substrates for Liquid Crystal Displays, Products Containing the Same, and Methods for Manufacturing the Same), violated U.S. Section 337.
