On December 17, 2024, the closing ceremony of the second phase of the China-Europe Civil Aviation Cooperation Project (APP) was held at the EU Delegation to China. During the closing ceremony, both sides reviewed the progress of the second phase of the project and exchanged views on the main content of the new phase. Both sides stated that the APP project is a flagship initiative of China-Europe civil aviation cooperation and is an important component of China-Europe civil aviation relations. The APP project continues to promote deeper understanding and strengthened cooperation between China and Europe in the spirit of openness and collaboration, continually enhancing the management capabilities and safety levels of both sides. The China-Europe civil aviation cooperation project began in 2016 and has completed two phases to date. The second phase of the APP project started in 2021 and carried out a total of 38 activities with 4,596 participants from both sides, covering areas such as aviation safety, airworthiness certification, flight standards, air traffic management, and green development.
