To promote the development of Fuel Cell Energy technology and enhance manufacturing capabilities, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan announced on December 18 that it would provide subsidies to Honda and Toyota Motor to support their related equipment investments. These subsidies will help both companies further expand the application of Fuel Cell Energy in the Commercial Vehicle and backup power sectors, with goals including the construction of a domestic supply chain and future exports to the Global market. According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's subsidy policy, investments in decarbonization-related equipment by enterprises can receive one-third of the funding support. Honda will receive 14.7 billion yen, while Toyota will receive 11.2 billion yen in subsidies.
