Wang Dawei, head of the M&A Business Department of the Investment Banking Committee of China Merchants, stated that many listed companies' mergers and acquisitions projects are currently in the brewing stage, and it is expected that a peak for mergers and acquisitions will be welcomed in the first half of next year. Wang Dawei also mentioned that in the area of control transactions of listed companies, as the market forms a new phase of valuation expectations, there is still considerable demand for control mergers and acquisitions of listed companies, especially after local state-owned assets resolve related debts, there is a hope to strengthen local industries by acquiring some quality listed companies. Central enterprises also need their listed companies to strengthen and supplement the chain through mergers and acquisitions, and develop Global Strategy.
