China's transit visa exemption policy has been relaxed and optimized, extending the stay period to 240 hours and adding 21 applicable ports. Half an hour after the announcement, the search popularity for Chinese-related destinations on Ctrip's overseas platforms in Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region increased by 85%, 163%, and 116% respectively. Notably, France, Canada, and Russia ranked the top three in search popularity growth. Ctrip Group Vice President Qin Jing remarked that the ongoing relaxation of cross-border policies, the continuous expansion of the 'visa-free circle,' and improvements in inbound infrastructure have become significant drivers of China’s inbound tourism. This also broadens the path for more foreign travelers to experience Beautiful China. The extension of the visa-free time will encourage foreign travelers to progress from 'one province/city tours' to 'two provinces/cities tours,' allowing for multiple experiences during a single entry and offering a richer variety of Chinese culture.
