On December 17, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to November, the new construction area of housing by real estate development companies in Peking was 11.537 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%. Among them, the area of new construction for residences was 7.116 million square meters, an increase of 12.5%; office buildings were 0.236 million square meters, a decrease of 54.8%; and commercial properties were 0.521 million square meters, a decrease of 3%. From January to November, the completed housing area in Peking was 11.293 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 5.6%. Among them, the completed area for residences was 6.365 million square meters, a decrease of 8.6%; office buildings were 0.394 million square meters, a decrease of 54.4%; and commercial properties were 0.401 million square meters, a decrease of 12.6%. In terms of sales, from January to November, the sales area of newly built commodities in Peking was 9.38 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%, with the decline narrowing by 0.9 percentage points compared to January to October, marking a continuous narrowing for three months.
