The NASDAQ 100 Index initially rose by 1.4%, with constituent stock Broadcom up over 10%, AppLovin up over 6%, Tesla up 5.8%, Google A up 3.5%, Intel and Amazon up over 2%, while Starbucks fell 4.3% and ARM, owned by Masayoshi Son, fell 4.6%, performing the worst. NVIDIA initially fell 1.7%, ranking fifth from the bottom among the Dow components, Honeywell rose 3.7% leading the gains, and Boeing and Amazon rose over 2%. The S&P 500 Index initially rose 0.3%, with the Consumer Sector up 1.5%, the Telecom Sector up 1.3%, the Technology Sector up 0.9%, while the Healthcare Sector fell 1.2% and the Energy Sector fell 2.2%.
