According to The Wall Street Journal, following Elon Musk, Meta has also filed a complaint with the Justice Department seeking to prevent OpenAI from becoming a for-profit company. It is reported that Meta wrote to California Attorney General Bonta, stating that allowing this transition would "have a significant impact on Silicon Valley." Meta requested Bonta to take "direct action," and also indicated that Musk and former OpenAI Board of Directors member Hsiao-Chi Li are "qualified and capable to represent the interests of Californians in this matter."
