According to The Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with Apple's plans, Apple is preparing to make a series of major design and format adjustments to its iPhone and Other Products after years of only small upgrades to its products, in order to rejuvenate growth. Apple plans to launch an iPhone thinner than the current 8mm model starting next year; the new model will be cheaper than the Pro models and will be equipped with a simplified camera system to reduce costs. Additionally, the report reveals that Apple is planning to introduce two foldable devices. One will essentially be the largest MacBook ever, featuring a 19-inch foldable screen; the other will be a foldable iPhone, which when unfolded will have an inward-facing display larger than the 6.9-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max. The report states that Apple's goal is to release the foldable iPhone in 2026 or 2027, while the MacBook with a foldable screen may be released slightly later.
