The Ministry of Commerce and seven other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Retail Trade Innovation and Enhancement Project." The plan outlines five areas of work tasks. Promote quality supply, with a consumer-centric approach, integrity in Operation, prioritizing quality, and top-notch service, optimizing the Commodity and service experience. Promote digital empowerment, advancing the deep integration of physical retail and the digital economy, forming new types of productive forces, enhancing efficiency, and making consumption more convenient. Promote diversified innovation, encouraging business model integration, with "large and strong," "small and beautiful," "special and refined" and the "one store with multiple functions" model blooming everywhere. Promote supply chain enhancement, encouraging stronger collaboration, optimizing circulation channels, efficiently connecting supply and sales, and facilitating cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
