According to China Energy Construction news, on December 14 local time, the groundbreaking ceremony for Egypt's largest integrated Photovoltaic Power Station and energy storage project—a 1GW Photovoltaic + 600MWh storage project built by China Energy Construction—was held simultaneously with the grid connection launch ceremony for the 500MW Photovoltaic Power Station in Kom Ombo. The mixed Photovoltaic and storage power station in the Beni Suef region of Egypt is an independent project developed by AMEA Power and is the Phase II expansion of the completed 500MW Photovoltaic project in Kom Ombo, which includes design, procurement, Construction, installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance for the 1GW Photovoltaic and supporting 600MWh storage, with a total amount of approximately 0.6 billion USD and a contract duration of 17 months.
