The National Standards Committee introduced today (December 15) that the digital economy has become an important driving force for global economic development. Emerging and key technology fields, represented by new generation information technology and Biotechnology, are developing rapidly, which has raised new demands for the timeliness, applicability, and ease of use of standard formulation; however, the traditional standardization model, dominated by paper documents, faces issues such as low formulation efficiency, long cycles, and inadequate levels. Led by the China National Institute of Standardization, the country has also fully initiated research on standard digital transformation, covering projects across the entire chain including top-level design, key technologies, and scene applications. In 2024: 15 national standards were successfully approved, initially laying the foundation for the consensus and general technical rules of China's standard digital transformation. In 2025: The focus will be on large model standards, smart manufacturing, data analysis, and other aspects to tackle key scientific research challenges, vigorously promote the construction of national digital standard libraries, and create an integrated, globally leading standard data resource center and standard research and service platform. At the same time, relying on the newly established national standardization research institution cooperation mechanism, collaboration with standardization research institutions at all levels will further explore and improve new mechanisms for the co-construction and sharing of standard resources, as well as new models for collaborative services, reshaping a new ecology of standard digital cooperation.
